About the ECUA

The East Coast Umpires Association (ECUA), established in 2004 and based in Suffolk County, NY has rapidly grown into Long Island's largest and most recognized amateur umpire association on Long Island, NY. The ECUA focuses on two main aspects. These aspects are the training and assigning of umpires.

The East Coast Umpires training staff consists of top quality officials who have all been professionally trained and are currently working Division 1 College Level Baseball. The training offered by the ECUA is by far, the most advanced training in the Eastern Region. We offer umpire training and weekend clinics to anyone dedicated to baseball umpiring. If you have never umpired before, the ECUA will teach you and give you the confidence to go out on the field and perform in a professional manner. East Coast Umpires has been recognized, by coaches and college supervisors, as the top umpire development training course for amateur umpires in the region. The ECUA also assigns various leagues and tournaments throughout Long Island. Along with servicing leagues for their spring, summer and fall seasons, we also service leagues for their district, sectionals and regional playoffs. With its 24 hour operation, the ECUA dedicates itself in promptness, professionalism and most of all its quality of officiating.
